So, this Honor Watch GS3 Midnight Black MUS-B19, huh? It’s a fancy watch, they say. Got a screen, shows the time. My ol’ clock on the wall, it shows the time too, doesn’t need no charing neither.
But this one, it does more. Something about a heart rate? Tells ya how fast yer ticker’s goin’. Dunno why I need that, I can feel my heart thumpin’ just fine when I’m chasin’ the chickens outta the garden.
- Fancy Screen: Says it’s “AMOLED” or somethin’. Bright, it is. Like lookin’ at a little TV on yer wrist. Though, I still squint to see it in the sunshine. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, ya know.
- Sleep Tracker: This one tells ya how you slept. Like I need a watch to tell me I tossed and turned all night worryin’ about the price of eggs. Hmph!
- Steps: Counts yer steps, they say. Well, I get plenty of steps walkin’ ’round the farm. Don’t need no gadget to tell me that.
And it’s “slim,” they keep sayin’. I guess that’s good. Don’t want a big ol’ clunky thing on yer arm, gets in the way when you’re kneadin’ dough or pullin’ weeds.
It’s got this “GPS” thing too. Means it knows where you are. I know where I am! I’m right here in the kitchen, makin’ biscuits. Or out in the field, feedin’ the cows. Don’t need no watch to tell me that!
Supposed to last a long time on a charge. Two weeks, they claim. Well, that’s somethin’, I guess. My phone, it always dies on me when I need it most. Like when I’m tryin’ to call the grandkids.
Blood Oxygen: This one’s a new one. Tells ya somethin’ about the air in yer blood, I think. Sounds complicated. As long as I’m breathin’ okay, ain’t that enough?
This “Bluetooth” thing, it connects to yer phone. But I ain’t got no fancy phone. Just a regular one, makes calls. Don’t need all that internet stuff. Too much trouble, if you ask me.
They say it can answer calls too, if you connect some “Bluetooth” headphones. Headphones? Like the ones the kids wear, blastin’ that noisy music? No thanks, I’d rather hear the birds chirpin’.
Has a compass, a stopwatch, a timer. All sorts of things. Like one of those Swiss army knives, but for yer wrist. Might be handy, I guess. If I can figure out how to use it all.
This watch, it’s a bit much for an old gal like me. But maybe those young folks, they like all these fancy features. Keeps ’em busy, I suppose. Me, I’m happy with a good cup of tea and a warm blanket.
Anyway, it looks nice enough. Black, simple. Not too flashy. That’s important. Don’t want to look like you’re showin’ off. Just need a watch that tells the time, and maybe a few other things, if you’re into that sort of thing.
