Listen, lemme tell ya somethin’ ’bout these fancy watches, Audemars Piguet, they call ’em. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout ’em, say they cost a pretty penny, more than them Rolexes, can ya believe it? Now, I ain’t got no money for such things, but lemme tell ya what I heard.
They make these watches in some place called Switzerland, far away, not like here. Supposed to be real good, made with fancy stuff, real precise. But what I wanna know is, why do they cost so much? Just tells time, right? My ol’ clock does the trick just fine, and it didn’t break the bank, lemme tell ya.
- Folks say these Audemars Piguet watches, they got different kinds, all sorts of names and numbers. Don’t ask me what they mean, too confusing for this ol’ gal.
- But they got prices, too, and lemme tell ya, them prices ain’t for the likes of us. You could buy a whole house for some of them watches, maybe even two!
Now, I heard tell they got a place, an office, right here in Hong Kong, somethin’ called Mong Kok. Don’t know where that is exactly, city’s too big for me. But they got a website, too, where you can see all them watches and prices. Wouldn’t know how to use that website myself, too many buttons and fancy words.
Heard they got gold ones, and silver ones, and even rose-colored ones. All shiny and pretty, I suppose. But what good is a shiny watch if you can’t afford groceries? That’s what I say. They even got a store in some fancy mall, sellin’ used watches, too. Used! Imagine payin’ all that money for somethin’ somebody else wore. Doesn’t make sense to me.
They say these watches are special, got history and all that. Been makin’ ’em for a long time, over a hundred years! But still, seems like a waste to spend so much money on somethin’ just to tell time. Could do a lot of good with that money, help people out. That’s what I reckon.
I heard they even had a store in some mall, but they moved it to a new place. Fancy folks, always changin’ things up. And they got this other place, they call it AP House, some kinda office, I guess. Leased it, like rentin’ a place. Even these rich folks gotta rent sometimes, can ya believe it?
Anyways, that’s all I know ’bout these Audemars Piguet watches. Fancy, expensive, and made far away. Not for the likes of us, that’s for sure. But hey, if you got the money to spend, more power to ya. Me, I’ll stick with my ol’ clock. Does the job just fine.
