Alright, alright, listen up. You got this thing called Watch Dogs 2, right? On that PS4 Pro thingy, the fancy one. Now, I ain’t no gamer, but my grandkid, he shows me stuff. And this game, it’s got these fancy graphics, they call it “4K.” Makes things look real pretty, I guess. Like, you can see the wrinkles on folks’ faces and all that. My eyes ain’t that good no more, but even I can tell it’s sharp.
So, this game, it’s in a place called San Francisco. My nephew, he went there once. Said it’s full of hills and bridges. And in the game, you play this fella, Marcus. He’s a hacker, you know, like those computer whizzes you see on TV. He can mess with traffic lights, steal people’s info, all sorts of sneaky stuff. Kinda reminds me of that time old man Johnson’s phone got hacked, all his secrets spilled out.
- This Marcus fella, he ain’t no saint. He’s running around, causing trouble, messing with the police. My grandkid says he’s fighting for justice, but I don’t know. Seems like a lot of running and shooting to me. Like those cowboys shows I used to watch.
- The game, it’s got cars, lots of cars. You can drive them real fast, crash into stuff. My grandkid likes that. He says it’s “open world,” meaning you can go anywhere. Reminds me of when I was young, roaming around the fields, doing whatever I pleased.
- There’s missions, you know, things you gotta do. Stealing data, sneaking around, causing distractions. My grandkid, he gets stuck sometimes. Then he yells at the TV. I tell him to calm down, it’s just a game. But he takes it real serious.
Now, they say this game is long, like 19 hours or something. That’s a whole lotta time sitting in front of that box. My grandkid, he can play for hours. I tell him to go outside, get some fresh air. But he’s glued to the screen. Kids these days, they don’t know how to live.
They also say you can play with other people, team up and explore the city. I don’t get it, playing with folks you can’t even see. Back in my day, you played with your friends in person. We’d play tag, hide-and-seek, you know, real games. Not this staring at a screen nonsense.
Some folks say the first Watch Dogs game was better. They talk about the “atmosphere.” I don’t know about that. To me, it’s all just pixels and flashing lights. My grandkid says this one is funnier, more “wacky.” I don’t know what that means. But he laughs sometimes, so I guess it’s entertaining.
Anyway, if you got that PS4 Pro thing and you like messing around in a virtual city, this game might be for you. Just don’t spend all day playing it. Go outside, get some sunshine. And don’t forget to call your grandma once in a while. She worries, you know.
