Well, I heard someone askin’ ’bout them Apple watches, the number 9 one and the number 4 one. They wanna know which is better, huh? Let me tell ya, I ain’t no fancy tech person, but I can tell ya what I see.
That number 9 watch, they say it’s new. Means it got all the latest stuff, I guess. Bigger screen, they say. My old eyes, they’d like that. And somethin’ ’bout a new chip inside, makes it work faster. Like a young horse compared to an old mule, I reckon. My old TV, it’s slow like molasses. Faster is good.
- Big Screen: Easier to see things. Good for old eyes.
- New Chip: Makes it faster. No more waiting around.
Then there’s all them health thingies. Takes your temperature, they say. Not sure why you’d need that on your wrist, but folks like them gadgets. Something about blood oxygen too, but only if you ain’t in America, they say. Confusin’, ain’t it? And this ECG thing, checks your heart. My heart, it beats fine, thank the Lord. But maybe some folks need that.
Now, that number 4 watch, that’s older. Like me! Been around a while. They say they ain’t gonna update it no more. Means it won’t get the new stuff, the new programs. Like an old car, can’t get the new parts. Still works, probably, but won’t keep up with the young’uns.
They say the number 9 came out in September, last year. Or was it the year before? Time flies, don’t it? And the number 4, that was way back in 2018. Six years ago! That’s a long time for these fancy machines. They change faster than the weather.
I saw someone sayin’ you can buy these watches online. Amazon, they call it. Everything’s on Amazon these days. Like a big ol’ store in your house. They got cheap phones too, iPhones and them Android things. My phone, it’s just for callin’. Don’t need all that fancy stuff.
And Argos, they sell watches too. Big sale comin’, Black Friday they call it. Everything’s cheap on Black Friday, like a fire sale. Folks go crazy for them deals. Me, I’d rather save my money.
They got another watch, called Ultra 2. And talkin’ ’bout a number 10 coming too. Always something new, always something better. Makes your head spin. Like tryin’ to keep up with the Joneses, never ends.
So, which is better? The 9 or the 4? Well, if you want the newest, the fanciest, the one with all the bells and whistles, get the 9. But if you just want somethin’ simple, somethin’ to tell time and maybe check your heart, the 4 might be just fine. Depends on what you need, what you can afford.
Me? I got my old clock on the wall. Never needs chargin’, never needs updatin’. Just keeps tickin’ away, like time itself.
