Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this watch thing, Audemars Piguet. Fancy name, right? Don’t ask me what it means, I ain’t got a clue. Sounds French or somethin’.
So, this Audemars fella and that Piguet guy, they started this whole thing way back in 1875. That’s like, a hundred years ago, and then some more! They were in some valley, Joux they called it. Must be pretty there, all green and stuff.
- They made watches. You know, the things you wear on your wrist to tell time. But these ain’t your regular watches, no sir. They’re real fancy, expensive too, I bet.
Now, they got this guy, Bennahmias. Long name, hard to say. He was the big boss, the CEO, for a long time. Almost 30 years! That’s like, forever! He just quit last year, 2023. Maybe he got tired, old bones and all.
There’s another one, Ilaria Resta. She’s a lady boss now. Good for her, showin’ them men how it’s done. She’s supposed to be bold, they say. Like, not afraid to do stuff.
Then you got Peggy H. She’s the boss lady in Hong Kong and China. Big places, lots of people. And Stefanie Ng, she’s the boss lady for Southeast Asia. All these ladies runnin’ things, ain’t that somethin’?
They got these places called AP Houses. Fancy shops, I reckon. One in Hong Kong, across the water from the other one. They treat you real nice there, they say. Like you’re somebody important.
Oh, and there’s this fella, John Mayer. Sings songs, I think. He made a speech for that Bennahmias guy. Maybe they’re friends, who knows?
They talk about prices too. “Price HK” they said. Hong Kong prices, must be high. Everything’s expensive in the city. They mentioned “20 price” too. Maybe that’s 20 dollars, or 20 thousand, who knows. Like I said, fancy watches.
They got this “info fran” thing too. Maybe that’s French information? Or maybe Fran is someone’s name. They make it all so complicated.
They got podcasts too, “AP Talks.” Talkin’ about watches, I guess. And they got special watches, like the “Royal Oak Offshore.” Sounds like a boat! It’s for their 30th anniversary, whatever that means.
So, there you have it. Audemars Piguet. Fancy watches, lots of bosses, talkin’ and speeches, and high prices. Probably not for folks like us, but nice to know, right?
