Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Audemars Piguet thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? It’s a watch, y’know, a real fancy one. They make ’em in Switzerland, far away place. Don’t know much ’bout that place, but they sure make some good watches, or so they say.

- People used to wait a long time to get one, like waitin’ for rain in a dry spell. But now, they say it’s easier to get. Guess folks don’t want ’em as much anymore.
If you wanna see one of these watches, they got stores, boutiques they call ’em. Fancy word for a store, if ya ask me. One’s in Hong Kong, big city, lots of folks and buildings. You can go there and look at the watches. Maybe even buy one, if you got enough money in your pocket.
They got a lady there, Miss Lam, she works in the office. She can help ya, I reckon. They got an office up high, 20th floor. Bet ya can see the whole city from up there. They fix watches too, if yours breaks. Got folks all over the world who can fix ’em. So if your fancy watch stops tickin’, they can fix it up for ya.
They got this new store in Hong Kong, big place, lots of space. They call it a “boutique” in some fancy mall. You can go there and see all sorts of watches. Some with diamonds and gold, real shiny things. They cost a pretty penny, I bet.
Been makin’ these watches since 1875, that’s a long time ago. More than a hundred years! Must be doin’ somethin’ right if they been around that long. They got all sorts of fancy names for their watches, Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, somethin’ somethin’ complications. Don’t know what all that means, but it sure sounds fancy.
If you wanna buy one, be prepared to spend some money. One watch, they say, costs 215,000 Hong Kong dollars! That’s a lotta money, more than I’ll ever see in my life. They come in a box, fancy box I bet. And they got papers too, like a birth certificate for a watch. Crazy, ain’t it?
