Well, let me tell ya about this here fancy watch, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubber Clad. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Don’t rightly know what all them words mean, but it sure is somethin’ to look at.
Now, they say it’s made of rose gold. Rose gold? Never heard of such a thing. Gold is gold, ain’t it? But this here watch, it’s got a different color, a kinda pinkish gold. Fancy, I tell ya.
And the rubber? What’s rubber doin’ on a fancy watch like this? You’d think they’d use leather or somethin’. But no, it’s got this black rubber all around it. Makes it look tough, I guess. Like it can take a beatin’. Not that I’d be beatin’ on no watch, especially one as expensive as this one seems to be.
- It’s got a bunch of little dials and knobs and things. Don’t rightly know what they all do. One’s probably for tellin’ the time, right? But what about all the others? Must be somethin’ important if they’re gonna put ’em all on there.
- They say it’s waterproof. Waterproof? So you can wear it in the shower? Or swimmin’? Don’t see why you’d need to wear a watch in the water, but I guess some folks like to show off. “Look at me, I’m wearin’ my fancy watch in the pool!” Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.
And all them screws on the front, what’s that about? Looks like they just slapped ’em on there for show. But I guess that’s what makes it a Royal Oak. Got somethin’ to do with oak trees, maybe? Or royalty? Don’t rightly know, but it sure sounds important.
Now, I heard tell this watch costs a pretty penny. More money than I’ll ever see in my life, that’s for sure. But I guess if you got the money, you can spend it on whatever you want. Even a fancy watch with rubber on it.
It’s got this shiny bracelet, too. All polished up and lookin’ nice. Must be a pain to keep it clean, all them little links and things. I’d be worried about scratchin’ it up, but I guess if you can afford this watch, you can afford to get it fixed if it gets scratched.
They say it’s handmade. Handmade? By who? Some old fella sittin’ in a workshop somewhere, hammerin’ away at it? I guess that’s why it costs so much. All that hand work, you know.
It’s a big watch, too. Heavy. You’d definitely know you’re wearin’ it. Not like them little dainty watches some folks wear. This one’s a statement piece, that’s for sure. Says, “Look at me, I got money!”
So, that’s about all I know about this here Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubber Clad. Fancy name, fancy watch. Not my cup of tea, but I guess some folks like that kinda thing. Me, I’d rather have a good ol’ reliable Timex. But hey, to each their own, right?
