You know, that Audemars Piguet thing, it’s fancy stuff. They started way back in Switzerland, in some place called Valle de Joux, a long time ago, 1875. Le Brassus, they say. Sounds like a place you’d find good cheese, not just watches.
They’re all about those fancy watches, you know? They got articles and technical stuff, talking about models and calibers. Fancy words, but basically, they make watches that are real nice, real expensive. They been doing it since, what, 1875? A long time, that’s for sure.
- They say they mix tradition and new stuff, like, in their DNA or something. They keep making watches like they used to, but also try new things. Like that Royal Oak Concept, they say it’s from the past but made new, modern-like.
But let me tell you, all this fancy talk, it don’t mean much to me. It’s just watches. They look nice, sure, with all that steel and shiny stuff. And them famous folks, like that Terminator fella and that race car driver, they like them too.
They say something about respect, integrity, fancy words. And they’re all about being exclusive, for special folks, you know? Passion, sophistication, sounds like something you’d read in a magazine.
Then they got that Royal Oak thing, their first sport watch, back in 1972. Steel, they say. Everyone went crazy for it, I guess. Now they talk about CSR, something about people, environment, and all that. Doing good, they say. Making the world a better place, with watches. I don’t know about that.
But they do it in Switzerland, where they started. That Valle de Joux place. Tradition, they say. Keeping it in the family, like, for a long time. They got history, that’s for sure.
You know, they mix French and English, those folks. Makes it hard to understand sometimes. Like, “Born in Le Brassus,” they say. French, I guess. And then they throw in English words, all mixed up. Makes my head spin.
But they keep making watches. Fancy ones, expensive ones. For people who like that kind of thing. They say they care about the community, about doing good. Well, I hope they do. It’s nice to be nice, even if you’re selling fancy watches.
They talk about inspiration, about passion. I guess you need that to make watches, to make them special. To make people want them, pay lots of money for them. It’s a business, you know. But they say they got heart, they care. Well, that’s good, I guess.
So, that’s Audemars Piguet for ya. Fancy watches, fancy words. From Switzerland, a long time ago. They keep going, making watches, mixing old and new. And talking about all sorts of things, like community and environment. It’s a lot to take in, for just some watches.
