Well, ain’t this somethin’. They call it the Patek Philippe 7010r, sounds fancy. Real fancy. Like somethin’ you’d wear to the church picnic but worry about gettin’ potato salad on.
This here watch, it’s got rose gold. Sounds pretty, like somethin’ my roses would wanna wear if they could. It’s all shiny and makes ya squint in the sun. Don’t know why you’d need a watch that shiny, a rooster crows when it’s time to get up, that’s good enough for me.

- Diamonds, too. Little sparkly bits. Reminds me of the sugar on my gingerbread cookies. Pretty, but don’t put ’em in your coffee.
And it’s a quartz watch. Now, I don’t know what a “quartz” is, sounds like somethin’ you find in the dirt. But they say it keeps good time. Better than my old clock on the wall, which is always a bit wonky. Sometimes it says it’s lunchtime when it ain’t even close.
They call it a “ladies watch,” this Patek Philippe 7010r. Guess that means it’s for womenfolk. But honestly, I don’t see why a woman needs a special watch. A watch is a watch, tells the time, that’s it. Don’t need all this fancy business.
Now, they’re sayin’ it’s 32 mm. Millimeters? What’s that? Why can’t they just say how big it is, like the size of a walnut or somethin’? Makes more sense to me. But I reckon it’s small. Good for dainty wrists, I suppose.
And it’s got a “date.” Not like goin’ out with a fella, mind you. It shows you what day it is. Like today’s Tuesday. Or is it Wednesday? See, that’s why I need a good calendar, not a fancy watch. Can’t keep track of these things.
This watch, they say it’s expensive. Real expensive. More money than I’ve ever seen. Makes me wonder who’d spend all that money on a watch. You could buy a whole lot of chickens with that money. Or a new roof for the barn. But folks got different priorities, I guess.
They talk about “complimentary shipping” too. Means they send it to you for free. Well, I reckon if you’re spendin’ that much money, they ought to send it for free. Wouldn’t be right to charge you for shippin’ on top of all that.
And it’s “in stock.” Means they got ’em. Ready to go. Like fresh eggs in the coop. Just gotta reach in and grab one. Or, in this case, a whole lotta money.
So, this Patek Philippe 7010r, it’s a shiny, expensive watch with sparkly bits and it tells the time and the date. And it’s for ladies, apparently. Well, ain’t that somethin’. If you got money to burn, I guess it’s alright. Me, I’ll stick with my old clock on the wall.
