Alright, lemme tell ya about this “Watch Dogs 2” thing on the PS4 Pro, the one with the fancy frames and whatnot. People keep jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d give ya my two cents.
Now, they say this Pro thingamajig, it makes the game look real nice. Sharper, like cleanin’ your glasses. They talk about this “4K” stuff, sounds fancy, makes the picture all detailed, like you can see every little thing. And this “60 frames” thing? Makes things move smoother, less choppy. Like spreadin’ butter on warm bread, see?
- Good stuff: They say with the Pro, the game ain’t jumpin’ around like a scared rabbit. Keeps it steady, easy on the eyes. And that picture, it’s purdy, real purdy. Like lookin’ out the window on a sunny day.
- Not-so-good stuff: Even with all this fancy stuff, sometimes the game still hiccups. Dips down, they say. Like when the well runs dry. And sometimes, it ain’t quite as smooth as they promise, still a bit jumpy here and there. Like a bumpy dirt road.
Heard some fellas sayin’ somethin’ about the game aimin’ for this “30 frames” thing on all them boxes. The PS4 Pro, though, it tries to go higher, that 60 they talk about, but only if you ain’t lookin’ at all them fancy details. Gotta choose, see? Pretty picture or smooth movin’, can’t have both.
Don’t get me wrong, it ain’t a bad game. My grandson, he loves playin’ it. Running around, hackin’ stuff, causin’ mischief. Keeps him outta trouble, mostly. But sometimes he complains about it bein’ a bit jerky, especially when there’s a lot goin’ on, like a town fair.
Someone mentioned somethin’ about “adaptive vsync” too. Don’t rightly know what that means, sounds like somethin’ from the city. But they say it helps the game run better on the regular PS4, keeps things from tearin’ up like an old rag.
Now, this Pro thing, they say it pumps up the picture real good, makes it all clear. But then it struggles to keep up, dips down in them frames again. Like tryin’ to carry too many buckets of water, you’re bound to spill some. And they say it ain’t got no “AA” unless you got the Pro. Another one of them fancy city words. Guess it makes the lines smoother, less jagged, like hemmin’ a dress properly.
Seen a video, some fella showin’ how the frames drop down, even on the Pro. Said it goes down to like 25 or 29, whatever that means. Just know it ain’t good, makes it stutter like an old truck.
So, is this Pro thing worth it for “Watch Dogs 2”? Well, if you like your picture real sharp and you don’t mind the occasional hiccup, then maybe. But if you’re expectin’ it to be smooth as silk all the time, you might be disappointed. Like expectin’ a perfect apple pie every time, sometimes it just don’t turn out right. Just depends on what you’re lookin’ for, I reckon.
