You know, ain’t got much to say ’bout this Watch Dogs 2 on that PS4 Pro thingy. Folks keep askin’ me, “Is it good? Runs smooth?” Well, I tell ya, it’s a game, alright. You run around, hack stuff, do this and that. Kinda like them young’uns always busy with their phones, tappin’ and swipin’. But this one, you got a whole city to mess with.
Now, about the frames… they say it’s supposed to be smooth, like butter on a hot pan. But sometimes, it’s like that old car of mine, jumpin’ and sputterin’ when I try to start it up. They say it’s 30fps, whatever that means. Thirty of somethin’, I reckon. But then it dips, goes lower, and you see things gettin’ all choppy. Like when the TV signal goes wonky in a storm.
They also talkin’ ’bout this 4K thing. Makes everything look sharp, they say. Like puttin’ on your glasses after you been squintin’ all day. Yeah, I can see it, things look clear, real clear. But does it make the game better? I don’t know. Pretty pictures are nice, but if the game ain’t runnin’ smooth, it’s like havin’ a fancy car with a busted engine.
My grandson, he tried explainin’ it to me. Said somethin’ ’bout the PS4 Pro bein’ stronger, can do more. But then why ain’t it always smooth? He mumbled somethin’ ’bout drops and tears. Tears? Is the game cryin’? He just rolled his eyes at me. Kids these days, always with their fancy words. Makes an old lady like me feel like I ain’t keepin’ up.

It’s a game, alright. You run around, cause trouble, hack into stuff. Like playin’ a prank on the whole city. That’s fun, I guess. Reminds me of when I was young, puttin’ sugar in the salt shaker. Good times. But this game, it’s got more to it. Story and all that. I try to follow, but sometimes it gets too complicated. All them techie words, my head starts spinnin’.
They compared it to other games too. Sayin’ this one’s better, that one’s worse. Like pickin’ apples at the market. You gotta find the one that ain’t got no bruises, the one that looks just right. But even then, you don’t know till you take a bite. Same with this game, I guess. You gotta play it to see if you like it.
Some say it’s supposed to be 60fps. Double the 30. Must be real smooth then. But I ain’t seen it. Maybe it’s there, maybe it ain’t. Like them ghosts they talk about on TV. You believe it if you wanna believe it.
Overall, it’s a game. You play, you have fun, maybe get frustrated when it ain’t smooth. But ain’t that life? Ups and downs, smooth and bumpy. Just gotta take it as it comes. That’s what I always say.
