Well, lemme tell ya, this “Watch Dogs 2” game got some real good tunes, ya know? I was sittin’ there listenin’ to the whole soundtrack and it felt like I was back in the good ol’ days, when folks was listenin’ to some classic hip hop, and now, there’s some fresh sounds in there too. It’s got a lotta rap in it, mixin’ old-school with new-school vibes, and that’s what makes it so good. I reckon there’s a whole lotta folks out there who ain’t even caught on to it yet, but once they hear it, they’ll be hooked like a fish on a line.
The game itself, “Watch Dogs 2,” is all about those hackers, like them kids from the city who don’t play by the rules. But what really grabs ya is the music. Now, I ain’t no expert on all these fancy terms, but from what I understand, it’s a blend of electronic beats and some real smooth hip hop. And boy, it just gets under your skin, makes ya wanna move your feet, even if you ain’t a dancer like me. The whole thing was put together by this fella, Hudson Mohawke, and he sure knows how to make music that gets your heart beatin’.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to get a taste of the whole soundtrack, you might find yourself wanderin’ through a few different playlists. There’s a special station in the game, called the “Radio Bay Nation,” and it’s packed with all sorts of jams. Some of them tracks are like throwbacks to the 90s hip hop we used to hear on the radio, and others are from newer artists tryin’ to make a name for themselves. It don’t matter if you’re young or old, there’s somethin’ in there for everybody. If you ask me, it’s a good way to kill time while you’re hackin’ away at them computers. I’ve even heard folks sayin’ the playlist is better than some real radio stations out there, and I can’t say I disagree with ‘em!
In “Watch Dogs 2,” they got a whole list of songs that make the whole game feel alive. You got your 16 songs in the rap category alone, and let me tell ya, it’s the kind of stuff that makes ya wanna put on your headphones and forget the whole world around ya. Each of those tracks has a beat that’ll get your head bobbin’ and your feet tappin’ without ya even realizin’ it. Makes sense why so many people save them to their playlists, ‘cause they’re just that good.
And don’t forget about that Dutch producer, Oliver Heldens, who teamed up with Ubisoft for one of the tracks in the game. It’s called “Good Life,” and it’s got that DedSec feel to it, real futuristic-like, just like the game itself. Makes you feel like you’re part of somethin’ bigger, like you could be out there fightin’ for justice just like them hackers, all while jammin’ out to some slick beats.
But it ain’t all about the raps and the electronic stuff. The game’s music really does a good job of puttin’ you in the right mood, no matter what part of the game you’re in. Whether you’re just cruisin’ around the city or steppin’ into a big mission, the soundtrack makes everything feel a little more intense, a little more alive. I reckon that’s what makes this game stand out from all the others, ‘cause when you’re playin’, you’re not just hearin’ sounds, you’re feelin’ the music right down in your bones.
So, if you’re askin’ me if “Watch Dogs 2” is worth the play, I’d say you betcha it is, especially if you’re a fan of good rap music. And if you ain’t playin’ yet, well, I guess you better get yourself on that bandwagon before it rolls on without ya. As for me, I’ll keep jammin’ out to them tracks every time I take a break from the real world. It’s like havin’ a mini concert in your pocket, every time you turn that game on.
